Dear faculty, students and staff: 

The Central Epidemic Command Center has raised the epidemic alert to Level Two, "local cases with unknown source of infection", from now to June 8, 2021 (4 weeks in total). The university thus implement the following epidemic prevention measures: 
1. Course with an enrollment of more than 100 students are advised to run online. If online lectures are not possible due to the nature of the course, e.g., laboratories, hands-on classes, and physical education class, the classrooms and/or the teaching methods should be adjusted accordingly, such as dividing classes into different sessions, ensuring ventilation of the classrooms, or observing social distancing. 
2. The buildings are advised to enforce a single entrance and exit with hand disinfection equipment and personnel on duty. Use QR code for entering and exiting different spaces of the building, maintain social distancing in public areas or wear masks, and strengthen anti-epidemic measures, such as environmental disinfections. 
3. Gatherings of more than 500 people outdoors and 100 people indoors will be suspended, unless extra anti-epidemic measures are taken and approved.
4. It is recommended that all faculty, staff and students use the on-campus cafeteria by take-out. 
5. Remind all faculty, students, and staff to avoid crowded areas, wear masks as much as possible, wash hands frequently, keep social distancing, and be alert of fevers, respiratory symptoms, diarrhea, abnormal smell and taste and other suspected symptoms. If such symptoms occur, please wear a medical mask and go to the nearby hospitals for check-up as soon as possible. Do not take public transportation.
